Horse Sense

I have two big furry children – my horses – well, one and a half horses.

I have a purebred Palomino quarter horse named Zips Golden Dharma and a Chocolate Palomino mini-horse named Febe. Both are about 14 years old.

My Furry Little Children

I never have had children, but I do have five little furry children. Two cats and three dogs.

My cats, Kitty Ying and Kitty Yang, the Ying-Yang Sisters. They are two gray tabby twin sisters where the only way we could tell them apart was one has a lot of white on her face, and the other has a lot of gray. Cooking with Fire

Now that we live in a house with a great kitchen, my husband and I have taken to cooking. We love to cook, not just for ourselves, but for others as well. We often provide meals for people in our church that might have had a death in the family or a stay in the hospital. We do a lot of entertaining friends with dinners.

The Farm

I grew up in a small suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio. With a population of 6000, my little town of Heath was where I called “home” till I moved to Atlanta.

Nearly every weekend I remember riding with my mom to go see my grandfather in a city nearly thirty minutes away. We would ride through the countryside and I used to imagine walking through the beautiful pastures, maybe with a horse, and later, my boyfriend. I remember looking at the vast green meadows thinking to myself “God, I would love to live in a place like that one day.”
